radiko 熱もひと通り落ち着いてきた感がある今日この頃。
私の場合、radiko で番組を聴くことはほぼなくなってきている。
おそらく、アニラジを良い音質で録音したい人や、エリア外在住者で、東京圏の放送を聴きたいという人は苦闘しておられることと拝察致します。
ところで、曲の内容は状況と一致してはいないけれど、radiko が始まった時に脳裡によぎったのは The Buggles の "Video Killed the Radio Star" (1979)。
ラジオな一曲としてはベタ中のベタだけれど、改めて歌詞を見てみると結構味わい深い。
中でも私の琴線に触れたのは次のくだり：
In my mind and in my car,
we can't rewind; we've gone too far.
主語は "you" じゃなくて "we" なんだなぁ。もう後戻りできないところまで来てしまっているのはお互い様で、ラジオ・スターの悲劇は、ラジオ・リスナーの悲劇でもあるわけだ。
人から「何でそんなにラジオずきなんですか？」と訊かれて、気の利いた返答をできなかったことがある。もし今度似たようなこを訊かれたら、この歌詞のことを話そう。We can't rewind; we've gone too far.
radiko で最初に番組を聴いた時には、音がキレイで、AMがステレオで聴こえることにチョッと感動した。でも同時に、なぜか傷心に似た感覚をおぼえたのも正直なところ。
radiko の新しいテクノロジーは、ラジオの歴史を書き換えて、ヴィデオ・スターに一矢報いることができるのだろうか？
